Who We Are
The Mission, Hope and Direction for the Southwestern Washington Prison Congregation:
- To grow a church of incarcerated men mature and strong in their faith lives
- To build relationships between people of different backgrounds, specifically between the incarcerated and the non-incarcerated
- To empower effective transition of the incarcerated back into the community
Living Stones Prison Congregation is an inside band of brothers of the ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church of America), one of the newest churches of the Southwestern Washington Synod. We are a church of incarcerated men, where grace and hope abound. We begin all our worship services by inviting the Holy Spirit to fill each member, as we begin to praise our Lord and Savior Jesus.
To accomplish the three goals of our mission statement we invite you and your church to come to prison and worship with us on Saturday nights. By doing so we get to share in your walk of faith in Jesus Christ given to us by God. The Blessings are many fold:
- Give hope to the men inside

- Provide yourselves as Christian role models
- Help to begin our transition back into society
- Have your own faith and church life renewed
The Living Stones Prison Congregation, located at the Shelton Washington Correction Center, is lead by Pastor Eric Wangen-Hoch.
